Hopefully some day soon one of those articles will explain how certain players find themselves in the squads without participating in domestic cricket or any professional cricket, all of this ahead of players who performed and delivered. Surely "an informed, engaged support base" would appreciate those reasons articulated by journalists don't you think?

1. What we need is for you to find out from the likes of Wellington Masakadza, Natsai Mushangwe, John Nyumbu, Tapiwa Mufudza and how they feel about Cremer, with no recent cricket whatsoever, and a very poor record against better sides, came and overtook them.

2. Craig Ervine basically came in and was part of the squad before that sometime ago. Same applied to the woeful Charles Coventry. Today Malcolm is in the side yet a number of batsmen outperformed him domestically and his record is absolutely pathetic, so it cannot be said that he earned his way back through previous ODI&T20 form. NOne of you have sought to make sense of such developments. How does Mutizwa, feel about that? Same with Kasuza, Mamhiyo, Mutombodzi, Kaia and Gumbie?

3. Alistair Campbell has been accused of serious things. Peter Roebuck questioned his integrity. He was part of the debt that collapsed ZC. He's back again. Some of his companies and personal interests conflate with ZC. Huge suspicions of conflict of interest. Surely a long-time former cricket captain, well known commentator and administrator would and should attract your attention. No? Or is that kind of attention and negative media reserved only for unproven rumours affecting Bvute & Chingoka?

We have heard enough of the ZC Admin and Utseya bashing. Where are the proper cricket explanations for recent developments? Are there quotas for white players? You guys seemed to enjoy reporting on the reverse or has "investigative journalism" suddenly escaped you?

A lot of money thorugh inflated salaries is being wasted on contract for Campbell and Whatmore. The side is struggling against weakened opposition. Where is the improvement? Mangongo beat Australia and won against Bangladesh. Players he developed defeated Pakistan, and he was Assistant Coach when Pakistan was defeated. None of your articles are applying sufficient pressure on Whatmore who has more pedigree but has failed the team, yet too much was unfairly heaped on Mangongo.

As if Mamhiyo has done enough of anything to get in.

All of that is directed at Tristan. Give him a chance to respond on his own. With Regis & Mutumbami struggling it's worth trying what you have locally before wasting time and money on a loafing&underwhelming Charles Coventry. Those options include Mamhiyo. At least he's thriving in overseas club cricket.

If it was all directed at Tristan, use the PM function so we don't have to read it.

I didn't say don't comment. Said "Give him a chance to comment" not nitpick one name out of around 10, and countless points raised. Mamhiyo has been playing&captaining professional cricket, something Craig, Cremer & Coventry were not doing, in the cases of others spanning years. Satisfied?

When you reel off a number of names it undermines your point rather than supporting it.

Pick one or two players who are definite contenders to Ervine or Cremer or Coventry rather than just listing the whole domestic circuit

Why are you overlooking Malcolm. Isn't he one of the other names? Anyway, they are definite contenders. Look at what some of them have come in and done - Chari, Jongwe, Mutumbami etc. Forget Coventry who was a disaster, have you even bothered to look at Craig Ervine's record since he came back in 2014?

I'm not a particular supporter of Waller and certainly not of Coventry as you would well know.

Good. Then allow Tristan to explain how they found themselves in the team ahead of those names. He has taken great pleasure at recycling the same topics throughout the years, and not enough attention has been place on other very newsworthy topics.
