Zimbabwe under 19 tour to Bangladesh
Re: Zimbabwe under 19 tour to Bangladesh
I think this will be a fasinating series as i dont expect Zimbabwe to come anywhere near Bangladesh in Bangaldesh as very few of our boys if any have played outside Zimbabwe and it will be intresting to see who stands up and performs in alien conditions to them. This will give us a clue of the next batch of up and coming young players.
Re: Zimbabwe under 19 tour to Bangladesh
Owo Zimfan. I just discovered this news in a local newspaper and wanted to post it. But, hey, you beat me. Anyway, it will be a good series. England U-19 will be touring right before Zimbabwe U-19. So, Bangladesh U-19 will get busy after October 1st week basically. Here is the complete newspaper report:
""
Under-19 schedules released
Sports ReporterBangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) released itineraries for the England Under-19s and Zimbabwe Under-19s tours to Bangladesh in October-November this year.
In the reciprocal tour England Under-19 team will arrive in Dhaka on October 9 to play a four-day Test and seven one-day matches against the young Tigers, who visited England last month to win the five-match one-day series 2-1 after losing the two-match four-day Test series 0-1.
The series would be followed by five-match one-day competition against Zimbabwe Under-19s, who will arrive in Dhaka on November 8.
Bangladesh Under-19s will play the two series as part of their perorations for Under-19 World Cup to be held in New Zealand in February next year.

Re: Zimbabwe under 19 tour to Bangladesh
Apart from Sakib, BD U/19 team prolly got better spinners than what BD national team currently got. Two of the U/19 bowlers - Abul Hasan (fast-medium) and Shabbir Rahman (leggie) were the leading wicket takers of the last Dhaka Premier One-Day League, playing alongside Mashrafe and other national team bowlers. Apart from those two, Alauddin Babu (fast-medium), Mahmudul Hasan (offie), Nur Hossain (leggie), and Shaker Ahmed (SLA) are also excellent prospects.
Weakness of the team lies in batting department. Anamul Haque (keeper-opener) showed himself a class above his teammates during England tour this July, but other batsmen still have a lot to prove.

Looks like Zimbabwe will be hosting Pakistan U/19 team before sending the team to Bangladesh.
Pakistan Under-19 cricketers will tour Zimbabwe from September 29.

Names to watch out for are Nathen Waller, P J Moore who both played in the faithware last year and Corry Van Rensburg who is supposed to be very highly rated but i think he concentrates more on rugby as i saw his name in the Zimbabwe under 19 side to play in craven week in South Africa about a month ago

Re: Zimbabwe under 19 tour to Bangladesh
Yes not bad atall.
If Nsthan could break through 2 the zim side, and play along side his brother, there'd be 3 wallers in the zim set up. A bit like the old days with the Strangs, Flowers, Whittals etc
