[Match Thread] Rhinos v Eagles (Logan Cup)

Post by Train Driver »

Finally some proper cricket again instead of that soppy pyjama crap

Rhinos will have a top class, first pick, muscle bound squad available as usual with just 7 players in the National pyjama squad ..........

Time to pluck the Eagles over the next few days and overtake Mountaineers at the top

;)

It would be great to see Mavuta in the Rhinos team, and I wouldn't be against Ives sneaking into the team. ;)

It's time to fast track Wesley Madhevere into the Eagles team. :)

Is drug taking a serious issue in the franchise system. This is the second case in recent days that i hear that some of our top Franchise prospects have addictions to drugs and alcohol. very worrying :( :(

Rhinos won the toss and chose to field, teams :

Rhinos : Chapungu, Maruma, Musakanda, R Nyathi (c), Mayavo (wk), Chokununga, Mbofana, Munyede, Mumba, Chinouya & Muzhange

Eagles : Zhuwao, Maunze, Mutumbodzi (c), Pettini, Waller, Gumbie (wk), Chikomba, Garwe, Muzarawetu, Munyaradzi & Chakabva

If these sides are correct I wonder where the money has come from to get Pettini over to Zim and playing, we'll see if cricinfo stays the same or changes later

Probably from Pettini. Fancies a game or two of FC cricket in the sun in preparation for his season.

Muzhange's first two overs to Cephas seem to suggest it wasn't the biggest mistake to leave the former at home, as for the latter ... he's definitely in form.

From the grumblings from the Eagles camp Marks selection ahead of a number of other players who have contributed to the two trophies have made them question the abilities of coach to manage a huge Eagles squad with supposed clear coach favorites may see a possible mutiny or departure of players to other Franchises next season though i doubt it. If Mark Petini comes in at an affordable cost i have no problem with his presence in the squad as he raises the level of professionalism and standard of the teams he plays with. A good hundred should justify his short stint in the team.
