TapsC wrote:This is interesting considering match fixers usually dont make much money if the underdog loses which we usually are. my suspicions would be the ODI games against Afghanistan where there were some ridiculous scores and bowling figures with the betting odds constantly changing especially in the last series. but I would still expect bookies to approach a team like Pakistan when they play us to throw a game not the other way round

Elton buying a nice car to me shows how overpaid the top players are contrary to popular belief. he definitely made around 200k last year if u factor in the world cup payment which was not that stupid amount BBC suggested and the PSL.
Yea, and the domestic cricketers are left to squander. Really do think, on his day, Chigumbura is world class with the bat, but it's too sporadic. Would everyone agree that he's peaked as a cricketer now? When he was playing for Northants I reckon that was when he peaked, as he did really well at home to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and then away to the West Indies in 2009 before gaining that contract - with ball in hand too!

Guys like Moor, Burl, Gumbie, Wasakadza, Mumba, Manatsa etc should be given more of an incentive.

Mutumbami's 3 DISMISSALS were too suspicious all caught at either long on or long off that's spot fixing right there I will put a bet on mutumbami's next wicket . Remember Lou Vincent used to be paid for getting dismissed for less than a certain amount of runs

As I've constantly been calling this perhaps you will listen now.

firstly, conditions are, and have been ripe for a while. Third world country, world stage, underpaid players jaded with the system with not much to lose...surprised suspicion wasn't raised sooner.

Secondly, don't worry about anything you saw In tv regarding suspicious looking dismissals and such that the Sherlock holmeses here are saying, cricketers can hide that shit like a sleight of hand magician. You are looking at the wrong things.

You have to look at the players who need the money the most with the most inconsistency. To be honest, and I hate to say it, the names mentioned are scarily close to the names I would have imagined in my mind, which is a worry.

Guys, its one thing being speculative and having a bit of forum banter, but it gets bad when we start naming names and start coming up with theories as to why we feel someone might have been into fixing and such stuff. No way can such serious allegations be made against anyone unless there is pressing evidence. So, let's keep it clean...

Some of us have been given names from sources within ZC; so it's not speculative, it's happened.

Well if it's public knowledge and there's a grain of truth in it then surely there's going to be an investigation?

I've just seen a clip in which h. Masakadza picks up the ball on the 30 yard circle instead of throwing the ball to the keeper when Afghan shahzad was half way down the pitch he chose to run with the ball to the stumps unfortunately somehow shahzad managed to avoid a run out . I'm not accusing him of anything but
What he did was strange. "Ill get more YouTube hits with this run out"
