Who will return to the zimbabwean national team ??
Re: Who will return to the zimbabwean national team ??
Taylor Currently is our best player closley followed by Williams, these two are the future of Zimbabwe's batting, the batting line up should be resolved around them!!!

I totally agree zimfan1, since when has Taylor never bin able 2 score in the middle overs. If anything he's our best player due to the fact that he can attack when neccessary and can consoladate when neccessary. I cant believe that you would play Utsea over a very experienced Greg Lamb. He brings batting to the fort, and not only can he field exeptionally but his offspin is 10 times better than Utseas.
And if u were talking about test matches Conant, Trevor Gripper is your man if ur looking for someone to open the batting and do well

Brendan Taylor will succeed wherever he is put in the order. Personally I think he should open. My test lineup is as follows;
1. Brendan Taylor
2. Hamilton Masakadza/Barney Rogers
3. Sean Williams
4. Tatenda Taibu
5. Mark Vermeulen
6. Charles Coventry
7. Elton Chigumbura
8. Ray Price
9. Graeme Cremer
10. Tawanda Mupariwa
11. Edward Rainsford/Christopher Mpofu
I think this line-up looks pretty good, although I am never sure how to balance the bowling line-up and what pace bowlers to pick. I have ommitted Utseya as I don't think he is a test bowler. He has never been a wicket taking bowler which is what is needed in tests.

many more players left the country then just the 15 - 17 or "rebel" players im hoping many of the established first class players that never represented the country at international level start to return to the fold also like the Soma brothers/ian nicholson/colin de grandhomme andre hoffman and many many more

That is a good point Horo. I am not sure what the number is but Zimbabwe must have lost at least 50 players over the last five years. We lost most of our international players and most of our provincial players also.
