i have a few qstns on our youngsters mainly to those
who have seen them play.. this bcoz ive seen & hed a lot
abt ed byrom & welch which really differs from the
records i've seen of past matches frm zc age groups
byrom vs welch vs lock vs huchu vs curtis vs hopper vs evans
i knw we hve lost these kids bt i blve not all, we will
probably get 1 or 2 back ..So frm the records ive seen
lock is probably the best batsman amongst them in terms of
runs scored per game followed by nick welch, huchu
then hopper which got me thinking abt ed byrom is
he overated on this forum ? yes he has proven himself
in county cricket bt he lags behind here @ home,
suprisingly lock is ahead of them all & is not celebrated
that much here .. nick welch & huchu wer e being played in
a lower age group than the other 4 y? .. shld be the same age arent they ?
brad evans is proving to be a batter than a bowler suprising
also as his stats as a batter are b8r than as a bowler
curtis .. no records jst one game against zim & scored a 100
hopper more of a bowler who can spin than bat.. differing from what he has done in england bt is rated more than
welch from zc under age teams selectors ...
my qstns are 2 those who hve seen them all play
1: who is the best amongst them coz we all know we cnt trust zc info
2a:vif we are to get or choose 2 to represent us who would they be
b: comparing to keefe or snyder now are they miles ahead or more of the same
ps keefe is the best u19 batsman rated now fllwed by sly
according to provincial games etc
3: bowling wise is evans miles from ngarava, matigimu, jaure etc or he is overated here too
4: are these kids worth turning mountains to get them to play taking into consideration stats etc coz byrom is way behind huchu keefe, sly, snyder .. evans is behind matigimu, murwendo, mashine, nyamusa magarira

Sorry but I can't take you serious When you shorten words like 'questions' to 'qstns' and 'heard' to 'hed'.
It's distracting, hard to read, and I can't focus on what it is you are trying to say.

Re: Qstns on our youngsters
The group of Welch , Byrom , Evans Hopper in my opinion was way ahead of their counterparts. Their development was way ahead of the recently returned Under 19 team that served Zimbabwe well at the Under 19 World Cup. The difference in my opinion would have been massive had we had all of them in the squad. They played mans cricket way before most of the others and had the skill and guile that is way ahead of their current age peers.
Evans in my opinion best seamer in the Under 19 class . Great natural athlete and from my Evans watch on cricHq he has upped his batting and can be considered the next great allrounder Zimbabwe Lost . Matigimu may have had gas but one thing the Bad Brad has is attitude and a mean streak to kick a team when its down.
Eddie Byrom should have played more if not the same number of First Class games than Nick Wellch way ahead of Keefe or Ives.from what i hear his fielding has upped a notch.
Nick Welch. Toughest of the bunch and greater leader calm head and played perecentage shots that get him runs.
Hooper - Im on the fence with Kyle , coz i think Mavuuta has an edge with the potential for runs and the ability to turn the ball ,more ,. Hooper has more guile and composure and uses clever field sets to get wickets

Welch isn't necessarily lost to Zimbabwe, but a lot of stuff would have to change.
