Brendan Marsh and Grey Strydom Return to Zimbabwe

Post by zimfan1 »

wow the news just keeps on getting better Marsh is a batsman if i remember correctly and the big hitter Strydom will sure add power to the tuskers who now have one hell of a batting line up.

I expect to see a few more players returning in the coming weeks as the UK domestic season finishes.

Thanks for the info, zimfan1 and it's indeed a great news as far as the returnee Zimbabwean players are concerned.

I think, Brendon Marsh is a bowler. CricInfo profile. He is a pace bowling prospect. He played 4 List A matches for Westerns in the Faithwear series back in 2007. Worth noting that, he is a 'right arm fast' bowler (from his profile). May be he has got a raw pace...If so it will be good for Zimbabwe.
In the bowling department, Brown can bank on the experience of Tawanda Mupariwa and Christopher Mpofu. Their third seamer, Njabulo Ncube, has moved to the Mutare-based Mountaineers with Thabo Mboyi, Taurai Madhiri and Brendan Marsh set to fill in the gap.

Absolutely. It is a terrific batting line up now.
Taibu choosing to go with Mountaineers is a strange choice, though.
