just discovered the eligibility rules changed in 2012 meaning that Jarvis would only be able to represent England after 7 years instead of 4 because he moved to the UK when he was over 18.unless maybe he has a British passport already. its a shame coz he will be 31 in 4 years, past his prime. the only way he can be really appreciated as a true world class talent would be if he played for Zim again. it must be tough for them because deep down we all know these guys would have played for Zim if the situation was right.
As for Brendan Taylor its not a surprise for me. consistency is something all our players don't have and that is why when they all go to play county cricket, they never end up making it all the way to the England setup. they have an underdog mentality from losing 70% of the international games they ever played. every player loses form at some point but a strong mentality determines how quickly u get out of a bad spell. I hope he can get himself out of it
a good example of the mentality that I'm talking about is how Chigumbura completely lost his bowling form.it can only be a mental block, telling himself he can't bowl well ever again. even after injuries you don't just lose talent over night.

I thought about saying something like "Zimbo vs Zimbo Legend's Son" or "Zimbo Legend's Son vs Zimbo Legend's Son", but decided to keep it shorteraydee wrote:Does Tom count?foreignfield wrote:It's Zimbo vs Zimbo.

Was Chigs ever more than a part time bowler? He's just a 130 kph trundler. He was tonked way back in 2005 by Aftab Ahmed.TapsC wrote:just discovered the eligibility rules changed in 2012 meaning that Jarvis would only be able to represent England after 7 years instead of 4 because he moved to the UK when he was over 18.unless maybe he has a British passport already. its a shame coz he will be 31 in 4 years, past his prime. the only way he can be really appreciated as a true world class talent would be if he played for Zim again. it must be tough for them because deep down we all know these guys would have played for Zim if the situation was right.

oh please!
Jarvis this, Jarvis that.
He is rubbish. He wouldnt even make our national side and we have pretty crappy bowlers.
Have you seen his most recent Logan cup stats?
If he wasnt THE Kyle Jarvis, he would have been dropped.
You see, the reasion he is getting wickets in England is because he is bowling alongside Neil Wagner, Tom Bailey and Tom Smith.
ANYONE will be a star as part of that ensemble.
Those three choke the opposition and chip away, so when a Jarvis type comes on, they try and take advantage and get out.
Chigumbura would get more wickeets than Kyle in that lineup, as would ten other zimbabwean pacers.

Kyle Jarvis is a super star and his is currently showing his class in county cricket.Hate it or love it he is better than anyone we have bolwing in out national team.
You can sing you praise for the Fat Panyangara and Mupariwa as much as you want. Jarvis is a class act talented bolwer
The only two world class bolwers we have a Cremer
And Chatara, but as for Chatara i fear he is losing his athleticism and could easily become fat and out of shape.
Judging on all levels including atheletism, fitness and the abilty to perfom in a professional setup which most of our players lack,I still say Jarvis is the man

You are bang on the zimbabwean dollar when you say Chatara is getting fat and losing his edge, or is in danger of. He was ok before his accident.zimlover wrote:Kyle Jarvis is a super star and his is currently showing his class in county cricket.Hate it or love it he is better than anyone we have bolwing in out national team.

I dont know what stpidity he was up to that made his leg broken, but its cost him a spot alongside the greats I feel.
Cremer and Fat Panyangara are 10x better than Jarvis.
Panyangara is another obese doofus who is too lazy to keep in shape despite being an elite sportsman at international level.
He is one player I have spoken to KFC management about banning from their store, but I doubt they will police it.
How disgusting is Panyangara. Honestly.
Anyway Disgusting Tinashe is of point, on point, here are Zimbabwean pacemen who are better than Kyle.
1. Tiripano
2. Madziva
3. Panyangara (despite the above)
4. Chatara (but for how much longer)
5. Michael Chinouya
6. Brian Vitori
7. Carl Mumba
8. Richard Muzhange
9. Tawanda Mupariwa
10. Kyle Jarvis.
Hey, what do you know?
Kyle sneaks into the top ten afer all.
I guess it goes to show that even the best and most knowledgeable of us are slightly wrong at times.

Come on Watermelon, Vitori chucks for a start. You don't take 11 in a CC game without some ability. And it isn't just a lonely bag of wickets. He has been among the leading wicket takers in England during his contract. No one is calling Chinouya to fill a spot in their list.
Chatara may come back to being good, Mumba is young who knows?, but the rest of those guys are not in the same class as Jarvis.

Ok, if you are saying this then I will re-consider my position and have a think about it.

At least not in FC cricket at any rate. His limited overs returns may be be closer to the rest of the pack.
