SA A Tour to Zim 4 dayers. (July 7-19)
SA have just announced their touring squad for two 4 day games vs Zim. Does anyone know if our A side will be playing or our National team??

if the new Zealand tests start on the 29th of July then I suspect that we will use the SA A games as practice to fine tune our team which will mean the senior guys will most probably play.positive move if you ask me.most of the senior players have not played first class cricket in ages due to international commitments taking place the same time as the domestic season. they need the practice

We have no choice but to play a basically full strength team. SA A have a strong line up, anything that looks remotely similar to an actual Zim A side will be blown away.
I figure only those who make tons of runs in the India a series might miss a game or two otherwise is SA A versus Zim Test side.

And is there any evidence that we are indeed playing vs NZ at a test match? or any format for that matter?
Re: SA A Tour to Zim 4 dayers. (July 7-19)
playing our 30 year olds usual players will be a big
crime, as much as we would love to win or get proper
practise before a nz test series its jst that we cannot
afford to not give our youngsters chances & that should
be 25 years & below... & with great sadness to say
this but there is nothing in our squad to select that
kind of 11 which is competitive with burl injured
makes it more worse
maybe ... chari, gumbie(wk,) bruce, jongwe, welly,
diplock etc @ best we will be massacred but the
experience & young blood is vital
