Issue: What do you think should there be Zimbabwean Professional Cricketers Association (ZPCA) or Zimbabwean Professional Cricketers Union (ZPCU) in operation ? What should be the functions ?
There was Zimbabwean Professional Cricketers Association (ZPCA) in 2014 but it was discontinued at the end of the year after the players didn't renew the contract of chief executive Eliah Zvimba. Once Clive Field used to head ZPCA.

What should be functions of ZPCA or ZPCU ?
1. Looking after the contracts of international and domestic players and ensuring their interests.
2. Another prime function it can serve is to access or supply or integrate interested U/19 players to domestic cricket or securing an A team or development team or academy team contract for them.
By doing these will it be able to add some value to cricket of Zimbabwe ? Opinions ?

Re: [Issue] Should there be Professional Cricketers Associat
I think Zim's past experience with a players' association shows the problem - not everyone involved has/had the best interests of the players at heart, which knocks the effectiveness on the head from the start. Not sure how you'd work around that, either.

Their main aim should be to refuse to put bat on ball until the board steps down and the constitution is changed. If they are not prepared to do that then there's no hope.
