Timycen Maruma once again ? Just hope he isn't in the XI.

Peter Moor needed a match.

Malcolm Waller should have got a chance.

Luke Jongwe is missing.

Looks like Zim has opted for Tapiwa Mufadza ahead of Wellington Masakadza.

Tour warm-up match, so that's not surprising.

Now, if NZ tried to pull what England once tried against Ireland and convert a full ranking international to a 13-a-side hit-and-giggle, that would be a different matter. (Game in question was Ireland's inaugral ODI, no less - unsurprisingly Ireland said 'no'. Or something less polite than that.)

New Zealand 280 for 6 an after tea. Given two of those wickets are retired I have a feeling we will get to bat before the day is over, which is not a bad thing. The bowlers have had their practice, lets see what Sean, Regis Chakabva and Tino Mawoyo can do.

This Zim A seam attack was pretty decent.. The spinners were horrendous, Mufudza, Williams and Raza.. Absolutely atrocious!! Chatara and Nyauchi opened the bowling and Guptill took a liking to them.. Guptill got his 50 before lunch.. Mupunga was then brought on and did no better.. After lunch Aliseni opened the bowling and roughened up Jeet Raval and bounced him out. He then beat Guptill for pace and had him out lbw.. Aliseni and Shingi tightened things up and brought the run rate from over 6.5 to less than 3.5 in one session.. The spinners were then brought on and they were hammered!! Nyauchi and Chatara were then brought back and slowly they slowed things down. The new ball was then taken and Aliseni went on to bowl one off the fastest spells ever bowled by a Zim bowler.. The batsman were getting hit before they reacted and balls flew off the gloves and chest to the boundary.. Really rapid spell on a dead wicket.. Shingi was reliable and he has shown a marked improvement.. He is much better than Tiripano, Ncube and Muzarabani.. The Zim A bowling attack should be Nyauchi, Shingi, Aliseni and Chisoro.. Cremer is horribly out off form and is only playing because he's the captain.. Taibu is clueless as a selector.. How do you pick someone (Ncube) who's been coaching primary school cricket in South Africa and hasn't played cricket since 2011/12 straight into the National Team? Worse he couldn't pick up a wicket in Bulawayo vs SA A.. What a complete joke!!!
