I know it would have been unfair on the fringe players but its clear that Prince benefited a lot playing against the likes of Philander before having to face an attack as lethal as this. Raza PJ Hami and Chamu should have also been given a go.. Cremer's batting has been non existent for months. Donald really played well today.. what is clear is that we are way out of our depth here. the black caps have got to be one of the best teams around.

The dismal batting on such a benign pitch is a disappointment. Looks like these guys would find demons on a cement pitch facing tennis balls.

I would imagine NZ will get at least 400 on this wicket. Not only are their batsmen good, but they bat deep down to #9 or even 10.

Will be interesting to see if the bowlers fight back at all.

This is what happens when you haven't played top flight test cricket for 20 months ! I'm astonished that no efforts were taken in these months to arrange test fixture.

You met John Ward? So, he is not a myth then :) You should have captured a pic with him. A lot of people on the forums want to see how he looks...:

Great to know you spent time in Zim. Sounds like you are still there for some more time? Planning to catch any more of the cricketing action?

No, I am home now. I am in possession of a John Ward pic but not sure he wants it shared. He is no myth, first met him in 2002 in ZCO days.

I can probably safely divulge that he is quite tall. Some inches over 6ft.
