It means that when our current "pro" players are done then the next lot will have competitive games against Uganda and the South Sudan Refugee XI. Am I the only one that finds that alarming? This is the product of grass roots cricket and grass roots selection and Mazarabani Cricket Academies. It's deliberate sabotage, because nobody is that incompetent.

Well, when Uganda are capable of humiliating the senior side, giving the age-group sides a stuffing seems perfectly reasonable...

well the ugandans are proving too strong for our u17s
must be psychological though saw them play today
and the young guys didnt seem bothered by the ugandans
bowling at them but were just losing their wickets silly
very silly & considering the ugandans lost to the u19
which was blown away by an u17 side
so far for me priviledge chesa has been magnificent
jayden should make the squada solid strong batsman. liam roche a very handy all rounder, him and robinson can bat & bowl their full quota. tanu makoni
is very good too really deserves a spot on merit. wesly
madhevere & milton shumba with the other spots our
main concern is pace, there is none & our spin is stocked
and 90% of them are batsmen

No Matthew Connolly our captain of U17 team last year. Has anyone seen him and if so what is he like as a batsman?

I see u19 team played Malaysia under 23 (and won!). Although zim side had 25 year old dean mazahwazida who looked like the difference. What's the go there? Some of the underage players sixes fan talks about did play.
*on further reading its dion not dean mazhawidza! Cricinfo jumped the gun!

Under 19's play again today (4 hours time) against Malaysia Under 23's.

As Terry said above, we won the first match. Here's the scorecard: http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/m ... 45871.html

15 year old captain Milton Shumba top scoring with 67 (106) and Dean Mazhawidza taking 5/18 but cricinfo says he's 25 :?

just a bad day in office i would say. Those kids are
quite talented, ready ? i dont know. i think
mangongos biggest challenge is finding the balance to
the squad because they are sort of the same player
imho shumba, roche, robinson, madhevere, schandendoff
are all good but all are 4-5 batsmen who all can bowl
so finding them another spot to balance the team might
be a huge challenge..dropping them for another true no6
batsman not an option as they are not as talented. Tough
challenge ahead for the coach, only dollar & basson
can face that new ball comfortably.. connolly no8
allrounder, shara & mazhawidza opening bowlers, chesa
the 3rd option. a good talented squad from what i've
seen.. Googly & Gargamel may have a better knowledge
though.
