Who are these people, and what did they do with the real Zimbabwe team over lunch..?
Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v New Zealand: 2nd Test
Kiwis Cleary going for it Latham and Guptill playing loose shots .....
I've actually liked what I've seen from the Rhino Chinouya he still steams in and gets it up to 130kph on a flat slow pitch, he clearly gets slower as the day goes on but fitness is a problem for all our players. I'd like to see him bowl to BD or Sri Lanka on a sporting pitch at Harare ......

Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v New Zealand: 2nd Test
What do we reckon the absolute minimum target NZ will set is?
For the first time in the series the NZ batsmen are under a little bit of pressure (not much because of the match situation, but still...) and it seems to have fired the bowlers up a bit.
The problem with Chinouya and Tiripano though is that they aren't threatening. The NZ guys have got out to bad shots. I think it's always a sign of how well a bowler is going when they are getting lots of bowled's and lbw's.
It begs the question, why was he only bowling 110-120ish during his other opening spells if he's capable of more.jaybro wrote:Kiwis Cleary going for it Latham and Guptill playing loose shots .....

Cremer's too expensive. Get the seamers back on.
Cremer's an attacking spinner, I feel this match situation is not ideal for him. Ray Price on the other hand...

Why cant the captain use Williams and Nyumbu back to back with close catchers around the batsman .Other teams always use that aganist us but we never use that strategy
Put a few catchers around the bat and build some pressure

I can't believe we've kept them to 3.68 an over so far. Even if it's the team plan to give the bowler X overs rest, NZ could have motored away to a lead of 400 by now if they'd played their shots.
I wouldn't mind if they declared right now. 339 in 120 overs would make a game of it - can't see KW doing it though. As soon as they get to 370-380 and beyond then it's out of reach as a target we can realistically chase, and then it's just a matter of survival.

Our best chance to get rid of Ross Taylor is for him be arrested for ecological crimes: He just hit a branch off a tree
