Re: Streak considering zc coaching job!
He wants to stay in Zim with his family, and now he wants to be a head coach. This could be a great news for Zim if he is assigned a coach. I doubt any international coaches would dare to be part of ZC after hearing the sacking of Whatmore. Streak already has a coaching experience with Zim, and knows how our administration functions. Streak can bring lots of positive things to the current Zim team. He has a great connection with Taylor, Jarvis and other white folks who left the country to play county cricket in England. When we have bigger names returning to Zim cricket( Grant, Streak etc) we could expect to lure few of our lost players back in Zim. He can surely help develop our young fast bowlers and bring back out of form players back to shape. Streak has a healthy relationship with Taibu, both of these guys are fair and have good cricketing mind, so can expect not to see rubbish bizarre selection.

i doubt Taboo has anything to do with selections. One of the main issues has always been the selectors and coaches opinions not counting for anything because Makoni or someone else has the final word.

OK, that means Dravid & Kirsten already rejected the offer.
Streak as head coach signing will do a lot of good for Zim.

Heath Streak is a legend, and would be great as coach. You get the feeling he has the country at heart. Correct me if I'm wrong. but isn't he one of the few, the very few, white farmers that were allowed to keep some of their land. In Streak's case because of his ' services to Zimbabwe' ?
He knows the game, and knows the political issues, and managed to tread that line fairly well previously. He's the best realistic choice IMHO.

As someone pointed out he's friendly with Mr Coultart, that will make the ZC guys decidedly uncomfortable.

Streak was overrated as a player, but he would make a great coach. I am tired of these entitled black guys treating ZC like it is their own tuck shop, whites love the game so much more, lets get them making the decisions.
