Zim A v Pak A: 4 Dayers Series Thread

Post by CrimsonAvenger »

Zim A Squad for 1st 4-dayer: Mawoyo, Masakadza, Ervine, Moor, Raza, Waller, Mutumbami, Cremer, Chinouya, Tiripano, Mpofu, Vitori

Zim A Squad for 2nd 4-dayer: Chari, Chamu, Musakanda, Williams, Masvaure, Elton, Chakabva, Nyumbu, Nyauchi, Mumba, Ncube, Muzarabani

Sense prevailing before SL series and batsmen getting game time, but questionable bowling selections. Mpofu's presence probably indicative of imminent Streak selection as coach. Chinouya has proven to be not very useful already. Vitori is a gamble too. Nyumbu is still geetting the nod ahead of Chisoro / Wellington. Elton, Ncube aand Muzarabani making up numbers too!

Not a bad selection given ZCs track record. I really wish games like this could be streamed, even if with no commentary and filmed on one phone camera.

They have picked up good squads for both the games, and almost all of our players are getting chances to prove themselves. Not sure why they didn't select Chatara,Panny and Wellington for any of the games. This would be a do or die matches for most of the guys before the SL series. I hate to say this, but either of Chari or Masvaure might do well like last time and take that opening spots from Mawoyo and Chibabha.

Pretty good selections. Musakanda and Mumba should.come in rather than continuing to recycle hopeless guys. Musakanda may be raw, but at 21 hes plenty old enough for a debut cap. Just need to give him a good long run to establish himself given that hes earned it relative to his peers.

Apart from Panyangara and Chatara for Muzarabani and Chinouya, great to see some sense in this prep.

If fit Chatara would be a shoe in to play. Maybe he is just being given enough time to fully recover.

PJ teeing off against the spinners as normal, so many starts but perhaps lack of time at the crease showing?
