Event with Kadoma Cricket Club

Post by auszim »

All,

We are partnering with Kadoma Cricket Club for the first On The Move. Essentially the background is we have a large amount of gear that we are donating to the club and thought it would be a great opportunity to generate some interest in cricket and sport in the Midlands Area. As you can see from the flyer below, there will be a cricket match between the juniors and seniors, a braai and music entertainment with some Zim Dancehall artists. For those based in Zim, we are hoping it's going to be a great day so would encourage you to get along. We have a number of sponsors who will be donating food, music, sound equipment, radio time, newspaper space etc. For those outside Zim, we will be setting up a gofundme page for anyone that is interested in contributing as well.

Hi All...

As mentioned, I've created the gofundme page for the event for those interested in contributing. We've started the stocktake of gear that is being sent (photo on the page). Which I anticipate will be about 15 pairs of gloves, 25 pairs of pads, bats, helmets, kit bags and some playing whites.

Good local support so far with a few international and first class players having reached out to attend.

Am happy to answer any questions you may have either here or via PM.

All,

I arrive in Harare on 11 December for the event. I've got a busy week with players, newspapers, radio etc promoting the event in Harare and Bulawayo however, if any of the Zim based members want to catch up or make contact to arrange coming to the event, please let me know as we will have combis and car pooling from Harare and Bulawayo to Kadoma.

Cheers.
