Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka: 1st Test | Harare
98 overs. 588 balls. 54 balls faced per batsman and we are through. Easier said than done though. 6 guys targeting facing 100 balls each and we are again through. That must be the mindset. Shouldn't hide too much in the shell though. Play the balls on the merit. But there would be some balls that would behave crazy and might make batsmen helpless, they just need 10 balls of that kind...

Chari is looking extremely awkward out there.
Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka: 1st Test | Harare
how many balls does Chari need to face to be worth another go? I said 200 earlier, but 150 would be showing something. He is up to 33 atm but doesn't look like he will last against Herath.

Chari into double figures for the second time in his career
Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka: 1st Test | Harare
Good tactics by Zimbabwe openers to counter Sri Lankan spinners in front foot specially Herath

and out. 10 off 51 not good enough. Raza back or give Musakanda a go

He was rooted on the crease.

looks like the chari experiment is over. he has a few technical aspects of his game that he has to work on but he will be back. who takes his place? Regis? Raza?Musakanda?.. I would go with Raza..that extra experience might be key

Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka: 1st Test | Harare
So Chari falls 3 balls less than the 54 per head target. Each in the top order should ideally cover up about 25 balls of the tail enders in addition to their 54. So, not good enough. Yes, definitely can't keep either Raza or Musakanda on the back of these twin performances.
Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka: 1st Test | Harare
That was an absolute jaffer. We need to see what Musakanda can do. Raza is not a test opener.
