So the ICC want to bring in 2 more test nations in 2019 but limit the number of sides in the World Cup ???

Makes zero sense .....

Only because the BCCI for whatever reason blocked the plan of demoting WI, BD, and ZIM to the intercontinental cup.

I think the next World Cup will be opened up again to more teams. I think the decision for a 10-team tournament was made during the ill-fated big-three takeover of the ICC.

12 is a good number...the 13th and 14th teams are probably too weak at the moment. Maybe if Scotland can ever develop like Ireland has. Nepal is the obvious hot associate, after seeing the success that BD and AFG have gotten due to their passion for the game, Nepal has everything to be the next Asian powerhouse.

The 10 team WC is there because it ensures 9 quality games for India. A 12 team event nullifies that, because essentially the ICC are trying to eliminate the HK vs UAE type fixtures.

I do not know what Afghanistan has over us but it seems like we can't beat them under pressure..sad to say but they beat us all the way from senior level to under 19 level meaning that we are in big trouble. I don't know how good their 4 day game is for them to be given test status but they are definitely ready in the shorter formats.

if it really is in England then we have to invest seriously in Mumba Nyauchi Vitori Madziva and Matigimu as well as make sure people like Taylor and Sean Ervine who have the experience of playing there come back and play for us.add PJ Craig and Williams to them and we stand a chance

The reason why Zimbabwe cricket has not been doing well since more than a decade is more to do with the economy than talent. The guys who have talent find good opportunity overseas and Zimbabwe is deprived. Just imagaine If zimbabwe had Taylor, Ballance, Jarvis, De Grandhomme and others still playing they would have been a very strong side. If Zimbabwe cannot make it to 2019 world up it would be curtains for Zimbabwe cricket.

Zimbabwe have fallen a long way since the glory days when we had talent like Rinke, Strydom, and Higgins coming through the system coupled with Utseya and Chigumbura's experience. Now we are left with Moor scratching around behind the stumps and a coach (Streak) hellbent on humiliating a former captain (Chigumbura) so as to try and preserve his own false legacy as Zimbabwe's greatest allrounder.

Firstly, you want to drop every single player with any experience whatsoever and replace them with schoolkids

Secondly, will you please spell loser properly, how many times do you need to be asked? LOSER means someone who fails at everything LOOSER means how food comes out of your backside after eating something bad or, alternatively, what comes out of your keyboard

Instead of ICC paying to a corrupt cricket board , they must directly give contract to overseas Zimbabwe players with good monies and tell them to play for Zimbabwe.Plus, BCCI can support Zimbabwe cricketers by giving them opportunity to play in IPL. This would ensure them assured pay and players wont have to play in English counties.

'Glory days'

I seem to remember a few wins against Bangladesh and Kenya, perhaps you could give us some more info on all this 'glory', or was it when Rinke, Ewing and Strydom were winning all the pie eating contests?

Zim have only had any claim to glory when Andy and Grant Flower, Goodwin, Campbell, Olonga, Taibu and Streak were playing
