Rinke and Strydom were enigmas.
Even at the time (the infamous Kenya 2006 series) I was scratching my head as to how those guys - and Meth for that matter, although he went on to become a good player - made the team.

There were more deserving players like Tinashe Hove, Andre Soma, Ryan Butterworth?
I mean it was a real bad time in terms of lack of talent, but any of those guys - at that time - would have made more sense than Rinke.

I don't agree. Piet Rinke was decent, and was a good seamer. He was definitely better than Ryan B.

Rinke could clear the ropes better than anyone in the current side. He would have been awesome in T20 cricket. His bowling was vastly underrated, his average in ODIs is only marginally behind Cremer's!

When you resort to insulting someone because you don't agree with them then it shows your level of reasoning, little to none.. Watermelon isn't racist. He just says the things all those involved with ZC see and are afraid to talk about. I mentioned it a few months ago that Cremer is playing his Rhinos boys ahead of more deserving players.. Mash Eagles won all 3 trophies yet they didn't have one player playing in the Last Test match.. If you've looked closely you'll see the Rhinos and Matland players are preferred to other players.. Why is Mpofu playing ahead of Nyauchi yet he bowled well over the last 2 years. Musakanda replaced Masvaure(who I believe never really got a chance though) and Mumba replaced Chinouya.. The only thing positive is at least we have a good coach now but our Skipper is clueless..

Thank you rupeni, you are a good man. One is always attacked on this forum if you go after one of the favourites - Cremer, Williams, Waller, etc. There is a clear conspiracy in ZC against certain players because of political connections, and I believe Streak and Cremer are the ones carrying it out, with AC mixed-in somewhere also.

You need to sort out what an insult is rupeni, I certainly don't see one here, although you then play the hypocrite and try to insult me  whatever .......

I will stick with Cremer in all formats.

Raza is a good tactician though. I'll make him the vice captain.

Who is the official vice captain by the way now in all formats ? Williams ?

Saw Rinke in a club game once, and he smoked 60 off 22 balls, just bludgeoned it. Never saw him in international cricket but from what I saw, he looked fucking class. Club cricket though I suppose.

Who's Andre Soma dude?
