What's next ????

So the Summer ( or spring ? ) of cricket in Zimbabwe is over with the tri series done so with no other tours or home series planned till next year what's next ??

Hopefully the extended domestic season kicks off soon and they actually play 12 first class games, also it might be good if the national team players are around to keep the standard high. I'm hoping guys like Musakanda, Burl, Chirimuuta, Moor, Gumbie, Kunje score plenty of runs and Mumba, Nyauchi, Madziva, Blessing Muzarabani, Wellington, Jongwe etc take plenty of wickets so we can bring the next generation through .....

Organising ODI series and even unofficial Test matches against Ireland and Afghanistan would be good and I'd also be happy with ODI series against lesser associates and blood the youngsters ......

Level of competition has gone down, Test Cricket, Odi, T20 Zimbabwe needs new talents. Zimvabwe Cricket should increase upto 8 teams in Four day Logan Cup

Are these guys even going to play franchise cricket ???

I'd like BRMT and KJ to play and do well also but they're not contracted to any franchise. My point being I hope the young guys do well so they can get picked otherwise guys like Vusi, Waller, Regis, Maruma and co will top the charts again and be picked. I have nothing against the older guys if they're scoring the runs then they deserve to be picked, but as we have seen they just haven't got any better on the international stage .....

Streak also talked about organising a few series which were close to being confirmed, maybe a series v RSA so they can rest some of their bigger name white guys and boost their quota average ???

Working through each team:

• Australia - no chance
  Afghanistan - they play at Greater Noida now don't they? Definitely a chance we'd request this given our struggles against spin
  Bangladesh - always a good chance of a hastily arranged tour there, especially given they haven't got much scheduled in early 2017
  England - no chance
  Ireland - maybe they are a chance of touring Zim again
  New Zealand - unlikely given we played them not so long ago
  Pakistan - pretty busy schedule, unlikely... but if we offered to play in Pakistan you never know
  South Africa - I guess a sneaky chance of a whistlestop tour in either country
  Sri Lanka - no chance as we've just played them
  West Indies - unlikely to play them again soon

So I guess if I had to bet I'd say the most likely arrangements would be one of: Bangladesh (away), Afghanistan (away), South Africa (away), Ireland (home), Pakistan (away)

Afghanistan is touring India for the odi sereis in January 2017, news is that it might be a tri sereis with Zimbabwe in.

I think we need to look at the national contracts and cancel a few. what's the point of masvaure mutumbami and wellington having contracts if they are not playing? vitori could have played the tests if he had 1. I think musakanda mumba and vitori deserve contracts.

we also need to establish every players role..why do Elton and waller have contracts? it makes them comfortable..we need answers
