I agree. I think we bought ourselves quite a bit of time by beating Pakistan in a Test match (the shine is starting to wear off from that now, but still...)
And we seem to be having some regularity in personal milestones as well. Most Tests seem to produce a centurion or a Michelle Pfeiffer.
And these occasional upsets in ODIs don't do us any harm either.

I think it's not all doom and gloom providing the administration doesn't stuff things up any further. If they can maintain the status quo, however mediocre it is, we'll be okay. It seems every ODI series we play we win at least one game, so as you said we aren't totally hopeless.

It's a mystery to me why ICC allow our guys to keep maladministering. If they said, right we're taking over and appointing 5 competent people to replace the 150 incompetent ones and they're going to run the show from now on with 30 people max, and we're going to get weekly reports that things are working and on time and the cricketers are being paid, what can they say? No, we'd rather stop cricket being played because we're being recolonised?

ICC recently suspended USA and Nepal's cricket administration for being mismanaged, incompetent and corrupt, and since then has been administrating their cricket by itself.USA has done well lately. Now,they have appointed a very good coach, get more fixtures and have offered contracts to 33 cricketers. ICC has made clear that it has assumed complete control over USA's operational affairs including national-team selection. It's about time ICC take same action against ZC.

I stand to be corrected, but I don't think India need to run interference for us any longer, so it certainly is an option. Personally I think it's the way forward. We are sick and tired of what they have done and continue to do on a daily basis. It would be great to form a send off tunnel and they all get s public ass kicking as they leave.

Oh and a proper audit to try and recover some of the money.
