He'd be averaging 40 something if he'd put away that reverse until he was set on 30/40

Chari's outlasted Ervine now, this is a disaster.
Now he's going to play the anchor role, get 30 off 100 to cement his spot for the next year and be named as Chibhabha's replacement as captain.

Musa on debut has run in with real pace and aggression, why don't our bowlers have that same mentality? You never see them fired up and bending their back. They know they'll get selected whether they trundle in at 125 or not so why seek extra pace.

BT must have had a lot of single figure scores to only be averaging 35 with that world class 50/100 record of his.
Still the best player we've had since 2004. Says more about the poor quality of the others.

I'm sorry, but if you chose to bat, you need to show more intent. not 3 rpo.

The times when Taylor's been in God mode (like 2011 and 2015 off the top of my head) he'd have made any team in world cricket IMO.

Too be fair Chari hasn't batter too badly, when he has got beat he has kept his line and not chased it. And when he flashes he has flashed hard.

More worrying is the decision making to pick Chibhabha. If someone has played over a 100 matches at 23.41 it doesn't make sense to give em another go unless they are absolutely dominating first class.

Chari tries to hit the ball too hard.

Chari finally getting a couple of loose deliveries, which is what you work for as an opener, and not capitalising. You get a half volley on middle and its got to go.
You're right, he's going to get a few and hang in.

:6:

If Chari is next to go, I'd be inclined to send Madhevere in before Williams.
