Yeah, Razor was important. I'm sure I'll not get a chance to pick Hamilton now :) . I was also sure I'll not get either Williams or Raza based on what I had assumed as picks by eugene and Kriterion, but thankfully had those available when it came back to me. Had you picked Razor, I would have gone for Raza.
Yes I feel you had no choice in the end; Utseya won't be a popular choice as the spinner.

It actually makes it quite interesting having a limited pool to choose from; imagine doing this with an Australian side, you could pick 10 great sides

True, we are realizing how difficult it is to pick 4 quality Zim ODI sides from those who got capped. May be as ZIMDOGGY puts it, brmtaylor.com admin should have gone for a 3 way draft. Reduce a side for better quality!

By the way, this was my thought process in the event of not getting Price also. Grant Flower has 100+ ODI wickets himself with his very useful left arm spin. 100+ wickets, remember, playing against some of the best sides of the day, unlike what Cremer got to play for most of his career and Price towards the fag end of his career. So, even in the worst case, Grant is easily the 4th best spinner the country has ever produced. So, I'll trust him with his full quota.

Now with Grant and Price, we are in very good shape, spin bowling-wise

I feel this sentiment may come back to hurt me in the votes; it's commonly believed the Golden era had it harder because they played the better sides more often. I appreciate that it does make it harder to do well against harder opponents; yet I still believe the long term benefits of testing yourself against the best will give you 'better long term growth' as a player.

I still believe Cremer to be the best cricketer of the 3 guys; yet I don't expect many others to agree

Yes great pick CA; crazy to think he fell so low, I really expected Eugene to pick him up at #18

Hard decision now for me because there are probably 8 really good players left, so after I pick my two here my next picks will be of a much lesser quality

Tempted to pick Razor to give myself a really good spin attack; but the dearth of quality batsman means I'll have to grab some good batsman whilst they're still available.

Sikander Raza is an easy pick for #20 for his batting, bowling & fielding

Pick #21 was a tight choice between Kevin Curran and
Kriterion_BD: (#1) Heath Streak, (#8) Guy Whittall, (#9) Alistair Campbell, (#16) Craig Ervine, (#17) Kyle Jarvis
eugene: (#2) Andy Flower, (#7) Murray Goodwin, (#10) Andy Blignaut, (#15) Paul Strang, (#18) Tatenda Taibu
CrimsonAvenger: (#3) Grant Flower, (#6) David Houghton, (#11) Eddo Brandes, (#14) Elton Chigumbura, (#19) Sean Williams
jaybro: (#4) Brendan Taylor, (#5) Neil Johnson, (#12) Sean Ervine, (#13) Graeme Cremer, (#20 Sikander Raza), (#21) Kevin Curran)
[/quote

No love for Greame Hicks, Henry Olonga, Chatara , Bryan Strang, &Stuart Carslie

I don't think I'm on the clock yet.

This has been a surprisingly challenging, educational, and entertaining game! Kudos to BRMT for initiating it.

Nope we're waiting for Eugene

Looking at his side he is still yet to secure an Opener or an All-Rounder (Blignaut more of a bowler who can bat) and he still needs to pick a couple more seam bowlers.

Interesting to see which way he goes ....

Agree. It has been very challenging. I had all but given up with the state of affairs as it was before my 5th and 6th picks. Sean Williams and Ray Price calmed my nerves a bit. It is a good leveler. I feel jaybro and I will be left with a lot of rubbish by the time it comes back to us again

But in the end after deliberating with my 'secret selector' I decided to go with the late Kevin Curran.
Hmm, getting help from Jemisi, eh? :D
Hahah no not Jemisi :D

Yes we have the last two picks; but I feel more comfortable now than I did a few picks back
