Which is why we need to invest in the duo of Ngarava and Muzarabani. They are only 19. With some proper training and gym sessions they could get a lot faster. Mangongo was saying they have a kid bowling quick as well.

I think a lot of it has to do with people playing multiple sports as well with cricket not necessarily being the favourite in high school. I don't know how it works in other countries but you will see a lot of these guys involved in athletics cricket and rugby. So you lose a lot of talent to other sports.

I think if we tap into the rural areas we could unearth some genuine quicks.

Did anybody ever see this guy bowl live? Apparently he absolutely slammed it down. People keep comparing Rabada to this guy, so he must have been scary good. Just wondering of any guys saw this fella bowl? Hhm, Eugene, Maehara, Flakeman?

Poetry in motion, Ngam could have been one of the greats. Plagued by injury. There was a theory that his poor diet as a kid played a part. A lot of the guys in Zim don’t have a balanced diet and is particularly deficient in protein. This has to play a part in physical development, particularly in the teenage years. I rarely see any youngsters really running in and trying to bowl as fast as they can. It’s actually discouraged becuse they tend to spray it. If you’re running in and giving it the full welly you should be good for only 4 over spells) the max permissible for a youngster in most countries. I’m yet to see any youngster (there’s one at St John’s in Form 1) that gives 100%.
