And that is the end of Kevin Kasuza's Test career.

Yeah, we are really talking in terms of being competitive as a top associate not a test nation.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 1:39 pmFor sure. I follow them and the other small European nations quite a bit. Probably a good 20-30 years until they are capable of being 'hve competetive' with Pakistan in a Test match though!![]()
Although cricket is so small in zim I’m surprised we have sustained a test team.

Witnessed a heated match between immigrants from Pakistan and India there some 5 or 6 years ago. There is definitely an interest.ZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 1:33 pmAlthough I doubt this guy knows it, but Germany are actually being tipped as the next big emerging cricket nation because of the influx of Pakistani and Afghan refugees that flooded the place a few years ago. They are laying huge groundworksecretzimbo wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 12:53 pmGermany??? Hahahahaha fuck offfarhanhussan wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 12:36 pmThis is carnage. Yeah same. It's an ingrained culture - everyone in Zim still sees Tests as the pinnacle. We are quite an old fashioned traditional cricketing community, probably to our great detriment in the shorter form. Even the black players that don't really have a family heritage in the game or anything, most still all want to play Logan Cup and Tests rather T20's.
All the upcoming Associates will be good limited over sides if given the appropriate funding and opportunities. But not in this longer format. Highly unlikely.

If the full middle order comes back from injury then it's probably worth just putting Shumba & Wes up top.farhanhussan wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 1:47 pm

Or Regis & Musakanda can fill in temporarily.
