Looks like Connolly and Wolhuter (Falcon) and Bawa (St George's) all currently playing club cricket in Gloucestershire.

Re: Zimbabwe Emerging vs Namibia
Chamu was one of my favourite players till a couple of years back. I remember him opening the batting scoring atleast a bit more consistently than Hammy. And also performing well with tight bowling(good line and length) when others were cut loosezimbos_05 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 4:24 amIf I was Chamu I would be embarrassed. He is the national team captain and can only make the Emerging side. In saying that, it's not fully an emerging side with so many senior guys in the squad.
The quicker Chamu steps aside as captain and from the team the better.

Hope he comes back blazing just like Chakabva, although the chances are low.
Also anybody got any updates on Andre Odendaal ?

Ives?! That's a blast from the past. Pretty sure he's moved to and living in the UK after he graduated in SA. Heard he's has a full time career outside cricket over there. Presumably he plays for a club somewhere but no idea. He was decent as a kid but hardly a world beater. Made the usual 'going away to study' mistake that Doggy will love to tell you all about.
Oldknow probably isn't good enough tbh. Unless he's suddenly magically developed somewhere over the past 12 months.
Odendaal is (probably) back in Australia. His season last year was a bit of an accident by all accounts. Has no plans to be a professional cricketer.
People are getting excited theres a couple of white boys in the squad and plucking other random white names out of thin air again!

I think this comes from the fact that ZCB has shown a willingness to pick white players in this squad and people are now getting excited hoping other "lost" white players might get their chancesecretzimbo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 4:54 pmIves?! Well, sure. But then ZC have always picked white players....What's new? And none of the three in this squad were 'lost' anyway.BostonZimbo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 4:59 pmI think this comes from the fact that ZCB has shown a willingness to pick white players in this squad and people are now getting excited hoping other "lost" white players might get their chancesecretzimbo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 4:54 pmIves?! Not directed at you, but theres a usual trend on here that every now and then people pop up and asks for ZC to pick a random 25-year old law graduate or shop assistant from some village in the UK because they once played for Zimbabwe U-16's 10 years ago and have a nice sounding name lol.
Re: Zimbabwe Emerging vs Namibia
So is Brighton Chipungu in the squad ? Wasn't he confirmed to be in Namibia ?

He was in the fake squad someone posted on social media a couple of days back. He's not there in the official squad list though. Strange because didn't Rajput specifically mention him in his interview recently?
