Is he? Is Sean Williams playing? Or has the past six months passed you by?
We have, in fact, had
three different national team captains since Chamu even last played for the national side. Sean Williams is officially the multi-format captain. Where have you been?
Remind me when Sean Williams was appointed to the role permanently?
Until such a time when someone is appointed in the role permanently, Chamu is our appointed national captain. When Bavuma misses a series, he is still the appointed national captain is he not?

By very definition the Emerging side is the third side..... National team, 'A' team, Emerging team. In fact you could argue the new U19 boys probably wouldn't even be in the third or fourth side. This team is, pretty demonstrably and unarguably, weaker than the 'A' side we fielded against SA a couple of months ago.
An emerging side is a different structure. Not the third side. I'm not arguing that it is a great side, but merely trying to dispel this idea that we can be ok with things because it's our "third side"

Erm, they very literally aren't? We have a separate 17-man squad about to fly to Ireland. Every single person in Namibia is very literally not 'making up the national side'.
It's cool having different opinions. And it's cool being unrelentingly negative about every single thing in the slightest bit related to Zim cricket if thats what you enjoy spending your time doing. But sometimes there are clear facts. Have you been smoking something? Bizarre post really.
I shouldn't have to explain english structure. When I say they "make up" the side, I mean that these players make up the rest of the side outside of the main picks. I did not say that this is our main side or our first team. If you are arguing that they don't make up the rest then I must have missed when half this side played for the national team at various points over the years.
It's not about being unrelentingly negative, its about being realistic. I will give credit where it is due, and I have done that, but I'm not going to sit here and accept certain things when they clearly are not good enough.

It's really not. A significantly stronger and more talented South Africa Emerging side got beat in Namibia a couple of months ago. Everyone on this forum predicted we'd get beaten. It's hardly a surprise or a shock.
People living under rocks still think Namibia is some backwater with a few village cricketers lol. I'd bet my house on them qualifying to the Super 12s at the coming world cup.
I am aware of the SA Emerging series. That was a true SA emerging side. No national team players or national team captains. I'm aware that Namibia is making progress, but for them to score 254 in 20 overs against a side that has players who have played at an international level, and should be training at an international level is shambolic for us. It's not overstating anything, it's clearly a fact, especially as we could only manager 113 in reply.
Losing by 140 runs in a T20 is shambolic, not something that should be expected.
