On final thing I have taken from today is that I can’t stand chivanga and don’t want him near the National team. He constantly moans at the pitch and he threw the ball at Marumani and didn’t even apologise despite really hurting him. His bowling isn’t great and I think he is only considered because of his pace. I would much rather Nyauchi and even some of the other pace bowling options than Chivanga.

I may be a little biased though because I can’t stand him as a person.
Arrogance and aggression works well for some bowlers e.g. Alan Donald, Dale Steyn, Andre Nel, Rabada and Shoib Ahktar. Some atheletes rely on building tension, hatred, anger. artificial or not to perform well across different sports e.g. Wayne Rooney, Micheal Jordan were a**holes on the field/court and used that toxicity to drive themselves. Maybe Chvanga belongs to this class of athlete. I think because we are traditionally a poor team, our bowlers largely play with smiles on their faces, grateful for the opportunity to play vs. Pakistan/Sri lanka etc, so when a different type of bowler hits the scene, fans are taken aback by the arrogance. That said, if he intentionally/attempts to injure opponents, he must be banned/fined.

That said, its time to give him a series, if he doesn't live up to the hype so be it

Yes he is quicker. From the speeds I saw in Sri Lanka. I would say Blessing can do 135kph regularly. Ngarava can do about 137kph regularly. I heard they clocked Chivanga bowling just above 140kph a few times. I got a feeling he will play against Ireland but I doubt there will be a speed gun since its a meaningless series anyway.
Yeah Blessing is a 135 bowler who can occaisionally touch the low 140s. I haven't seen Ngarava touch 140 yet, but he does seem to be at least as fast as BM on average pace. Ngarava 137 sounds spot on. Genuine fast medium both of them. That is plenty of pace on a bouncy or seaming wicket or if you can swing the cherry around.
Didnt Muzarabani hit 145 in Ireland or is that a false memory.

I dont mind aggression if you can back it up. Chivanga acts like a surly child when things don't bt go his way. However he has played pretty well in logan cup overall and probably we need to take a punt on him

 This guy is a loon haha. We need this intensity and competitiveness at domestic level though. Too many of the guys just go through the motions and don't care. Good to see someone fired up.....as long as he doesn't cross the line.

True, the likes of Chamu seem to be talking about how their weekends were and just going through the motions between overs. They need to introduce KPIs for all players. Targets per season or you lose your place and $300. Winning bonuses etc

Mufudza has bowled 56 overs in 1 and a half days. Real punishment. They even got Nyangani on debut with 23 overs. Tough start that.

Gubbins for Tuskers with a blistering century, now on 117* off just 126 balls, showing his superiority.

Young Tanu Makoni having another good innings in support as well. He's really improved.
