Srilanka end with 188 . Zimbabwe have an impossible target against them ..glad we are not in the same group as srilanka ..i would take 50 percent chances of three wins any day over 70 percent chances of two wins and almost 0 percent chance of 1 win
My opinion for every sport, not cricket only, is that warm-up match are very useful solely if you want to test players and strategies.
Match result is the last thing to see or worry about.

Zimbabwe cleverly and wisely exploited the use of several bowlers instead of pursuiting a meaningless victory.

The only target is to be prepared for World Cup.

Maybe the only complaint would be the scarcity of warm-up matches which Zimbabwe has played. This is my point of view, but I can't judge: perhaps the scarcity of warm-up fixture might have been due to economic shortage of resources.

Just saw the pics of our guys in the new kit. While it is nothing spectacular, they have at least tried something new instead of sticking to the same old kit... I didn't think it was all that disastrous to be honest, given what we have worn in the last 3-4 years... Actually, this kit might well look quite special under lights in Australia.

Also, they look pretty close to my state flag colors (Karnataka), so I won't be complaining :)

42 dot balls in the match against Sri Lanka. Assume you half that by taking 20 singles, we end on 175, about 15 or so short.

This shows the value in rotating the strike and keeping the board ticking over, even if it's just an odd single. If you make 5 of those 2's that takes the score to 180, makes us 8 short.

We really really need to learn the value in rotating the strike and keeping the score ticking over. We can't just keep looking to go big or do nothing. I can't imagine Matsi is the guy to teach this, nor do I think Lance was the right guy for it. We have invested in a proper bowling coach, and jury will judge based on how the bowlers perform, but we really need to invest in a proper batting coach.

Seems they have abandoned the green all together. Whoever is designing the kit must have been given the 99 kit a template.
