The truth is the last year of Zim cricket has been really boring (at best) and disheartening (at worst... there's only so many times you can lose to Afghanistan and Uganda and Solomon Islands and find positives in it).

Zimbabwe is a Test nation in name only now. Hell, maybe a cricket playing country in name only too? ZC have run things into the ground to the point of no return I think. Taylor got out at the right time...

It's probably not a coincidence. No Taylor = no Zimbabwe. We've been diabolical since he left.

I'm just so glad that I got to see a Zimbabwe win during the "glory days" (because that's how we'll come to view the 2010-15 era). I feel very fortunate for that.
BRMT,
I share your sentiments on what things have become.
However,
In all due respect, and Admittedly i do not know what your decision linitations are on this topic, whilst you (and perhaps maehara) are ''bored' with Zimbabwe cricket, there are still people here posting. Still fighting for the cause.

This goes to maehara equally when I say this, but there has been matters that potentially have real life consequences that have occurred on this forum in yours and mr M's absence. Some issues are inboxed to me for help, possibly confused as to my campaign actually being some sort of affirmation that I am indeed an admin, I don't know, but people are turning somewhere.

Not to mention we also have random Chinese spam posts, Indians that are signing up for what I suspect are ulterior motives than Zimbabwean cricket, and lunatics like watermelon arriving that have free reign to spew whatever crazy shit he's thinking.

I'm not saying to relinquish your admin post or anything of the sort! As they say, all things come in threes.
But for the life of me, is it really a crazy idea to have an admin present who has ZCF openon one of his three work Monitors for ten hours a day, that then goes home and still intermittently checks it on his iPhone?

Is this not common sense?

I also post very little now, but not to delegate some power would be odd, especially since the DOGG is keen as mustard

We are now in June.

Can anyone honestly say that is acceptable?
A combined case of

a) not having been particularly well; and
b) in general not giving a f*** about Zimbabwean cricket in the current circumstances, which I'm sure y'all can appreciate.

Anyone following the site's linked Twitter account will notice it's been similarly abandoned.

As for the suggestion of adding additional admins / moderators: this thread did prompt a few readers to contact me privately. Granting admin / mod access to the site would involve granting access to log & registration data that could be personally-identifying - which is understandably a worrying prospect for some. So it ain't going to happen.

Maehara, all due respect I don't buy that at all.

All forums have moderators being added all the time.
The reason being is you do get instances of admins losing interest or forums grow or need people in different timezones.

Within the last week you AND Brm have BOTH said you don't give a shit anymore. No reading between the lines, you both blatantly said it out loud!

What pre registration data is this? Email?

Do you know that there has been times that users have needed an admin and they weren't t to be found?

Did Brm get a pass on this so called security breach?

The forum is out of control atm, people are losing interest and the 'other' forum is all Chinese spam.

What is the point of having two admins who go for months without visiting, and when they do, don't even care?

Zimdoggy and Eugene are here every day.

There are degrees of 'not giving a f***'. Bear in mind that I'm the one responsible for the web hosting & domain fees, so cutting & running would even save me some money. I could conceivably have stayed away for some time longer - or simply hit the 'delete site' button on CPanel. Certainly would've saved me the trouble of justifying myself to you.

You don't "buy" an explanation I give, that's fine - I don't owe one anyway, and what I did post wasn't with the intention of being a point for debate.
